Dr. Strawn and Naval Hospital Team Inspire RMHS Science Students

This quarter, our middle school science classes have been diving into how organ systems work together to keep us healthy. Thanks to an incredible partnership with Dr. Strawn, a medical surgeon at the Naval Hospital, and his dedicated team, students had the unique opportunity to connect classroom learning to real life.

Dr. Strawn graciously taught our students all about the digestive system, explaining what happens when things go wrong and sharing practical tips for staying healthy. His team even brought in surgical equipment, giving students an up-close look at tools used in the operating room. The excitement in the classroom was undeniable as students explored how science concepts apply to real-world medical practice.
