Future Educators in Action: RMHS Students Excel at Educators Rising

Last week, our Rota Admirals traveled to Germany to participate in the 2026 Educators Rising Conference, an inspiring event designed to support and develop the next generation of educators. Educators Rising is a club that provides high school students with hands-on teaching experiences, leadership opportunities, and meaningful competitions that help sustain their interest in the profession. Through both online and in-person networks, students engage with peers and professional educators while exploring what it truly means to make an impact in the classroom. The annual conference offers a unique opportunity for collaboration, learning, and growth alongside students from across Europe.

Our Admirals represented Rota Middle High School with pride and excellence. Taylor earned first place in the Lesson Plan competition, demonstrating strong instructional design and creativity. Jada showcased her talents across multiple events, earning second place in the Nametag competition and third place in the Scrapbook competition. Quentin also made an impressive impact, deciding to enter the Impromptu competition at the last minute and walking away with a first-place finish.

Beyond the competitions, our students attended engaging sessions that strengthened their skills in becoming effective educators while connecting with peers from other schools. They fully embraced the experience, diving into learning, collaborating with others who share their passion, and creating memories that will last well beyond the conference. Opportunities like Educators Rising empower our students to explore future careers in education, develop leadership skills, and grow as confident communicators and problem solvers.
