RMHS Health Care Career Club
Rota Middle High School’s Admirals are charting a new course in health care leadership as our Health Care Career Club partners with the Rota Naval Hospital to inspire the next generation of medical professionals. Students are giving up their lunch periods to dive into real-world topics—from adolescent health issues to pathways in medicine, science, and engineering—while also exploring summer internships that strengthen both community outreach and future career opportunities.
A heartfelt thank‑you goes to LT Marlena Irrizary, Unit Public Affairs Representative from Navy Medicine and Training Command Rota, and her dedicated team for investing their time, expertise, and energy into our students. Their commitment is helping young Admirals see what’s possible in service to future military families and the broader community. Additional appreciation goes to HM1 Delapaz, CDR Moss, and HM3 Sanchez for launching this year’s Health Care Career Talks with enthusiasm and vision.
This is only the beginning. More sessions, more opportunities, and more hands‑on experiences are on the horizon. Any student interested in joining the movement is welcome to stop by Mrs. Wheelers' Room 32 on Thursdays during high school lunch and become part of the Admirals’ growing health care community.
