Rota Cheer Shines at Cheer Champs: A Week of Pride, Growth, and Outstanding Achievement

What an incredible week for Rota Middle High School Cheer at Cheer Champs! Our Admirals represented our school community with energy, determination, and heart, bringing home an impressive 2nd place finish in Division 2. Beyond the awards, the team demonstrated what it truly means to lead with teamwork, resilience, and school pride.

Throughout the competition, the Rota Cheer Team showcased exceptional athleticism and spirit during both game day performances and their competition routine. Their hard work and dedication were evident in every moment, and they represented the Admirals with professionalism and enthusiasm that made our entire community proud.

A special congratulations goes to Natalie P. and Christian C., who earned All-European Tournament honors — a remarkable achievement determined by a panel of judges who evaluated athletes throughout the week. Unlike many recognitions, coaches do not submit nominations for this award, making it a true testament to the athletes’ performance, consistency, and impact during the event.

In addition to their strong overall finish, Rota Cheer earned 1st place in the stunt group competition, highlighting the team’s strength, precision, trust, and teamwork. Their performance reflected countless hours of practice and a commitment to pushing themselves to reach new levels of excellence.

Perhaps most impressive is the story behind this team. For 7 out of the 12 athletes, this was their very first year cheering. With a young roster and a new coaching staff, the team embraced the challenge with courage and determination, growing stronger together throughout the season. Their success is a powerful reminder that growth, effort, and belief in one another can lead to extraordinary outcomes.

As we celebrate this milestone, we are already looking ahead with excitement. The future is incredibly bright for Rota Cheer, and this season has laid a strong foundation for continued success.
