David Farragut High School NJROTC Receives 2024-2025 Most Improved Unit Award

David Farragut High School in Rota, Spain, has been honored with the prestigious 2024-2025 Most Improved Unit award for its NJROTC program. This recognition highlights the remarkable progress the unit has made over the past two years, distinguishing itself as the most improved unit in Area ONE.
Despite not achieving Distinguished Unit with Honors (DU-H), Distinguished Unit (DU), or Unit Achievement (UA) status, David Farragut's NJROTC demonstrated exceptional improvement from 2023-2024 to 2024-2025. Chief Warrant Officer Patton expressed his astonishment at the unit's turnaround, stating, "To win Most Improved, and not get distinguished unit or unit achievement is normally not possible. We were viewed as such a dramatic turnaround, the NJROTC program waived the requirement because our unit had made such awesome strides over the last two years. That has NEVER happened before."
This unprecedented decision by the NJROTC program underscores the significant efforts and dedication of the cadets and staff at David Farragut High School. Their commitment to excellence and continuous improvement has set a new standard for NJROTC units across the region.
Congratulations to the David Farragut High School NJROTC for their outstanding achievement and inspiring progress!
