About Our School

David Glasgow Farragut (DGF) Middle High School is a secondary school for students in grades 6 through 12 located on Naval Station Rota Spain. DGF Middle/High School (also referred to as Rota Middle High School) is a member of the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Europe South District.

Academics

Since 1975, Rota High School has been an accredited member of AdvancED (formerly North Central Association). Students complete a minimum of 26 courses and exams in regular and Advanced Placement (AP) classes with an opportunity to obtain college credit.

Extracurricular activities

The DGF High School mascot and athletic emblem is aptly named the Admirals in honor of David Glasgow Farragut.

School Improvement Goals

Goal 1: By the end of SY23-24, student scores will increase by 4% in the meet and exceeds performance levels on CCRSL by strengthening student's abilities in written expression from complex text across all content areas in all courses.

Goal 2: By the end of SY23-24, student scores will increase by 4% in the meet and exceeds performance levels on CCRSM by strengthening student's abilities in modeling and reasoning in all courses.
