Exciting Job Opportunity for Teens at NAVSTA ROTA

Are you a teenager looking for a rewarding job experience this summer? The Child and Youth Program (CYP) at NAVSTA ROTA is offering an incredible opportunity for teens aged 14-18 to join their team as Recreation Aids. This program is open to command-sponsored U.S. citizen teenagers who are family members of federal employees or uniformed service members stationed overseas.
Job Details: Selected teens will work at the Child Development Center or School Age Care, assisting in the oversight of activities and services for authorized patrons. Responsibilities include providing general information on the use of facilities and equipment, helping plan and implement various activities, ensuring safety procedures are followed, and maintaining cleanliness and order in the facilities.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Applicants must be between 14 and 18 years old.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical examination.
- Completion of all background checks in accordance with PL 101-647.
- Must meet special inoculation and immunization requirements, including the influenza vaccine.
- Ability to stand, bend, and walk during work, with light lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Male candidates aged 18 must provide proof of Selective Service System registration.
Important Dates: Teens interested in this opportunity must attend the Teen Job Fair on March 28th, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the School Age Care, Building #41. APPLICANTS MUST ARRIVE TO THE JOB FAIR BY 11:30 AM.
