Honoring Excellence: Senior Awards Ceremony Celebrates the Class of 2025

On Wednesday, Rota Middle High School proudly hosted its Senior Awards Ceremony, a heartfelt event recognizing the dedication, achievements, and bright futures of the Class of 2025.
The ceremony was a moment of reflection and celebration, as seniors were honored for their academic accomplishments, leadership, and community involvement. Students received sashes and stoles representing their participation in distinguished programs such as Graduating with Honors, National Honor Society, Student Council, and Educators Rising—each symbolizing the hard work and commitment they’ve shown throughout their high school journey.
A highlight of the event was the presentation of the OFT Rota (Overseas Federation of Teachers) Scholarship by Mr. Jimison. This award was given to two outstanding seniors who penned powerful essays reflecting on their experiences as students at Rota Middle High School in Rota, Spain. Their words captured the unique spirit of our school community and the impact of their educational journey abroad.
In a remarkable achievement, the Class of 2025 has collectively earned over one million dollars in scholarships, a testament to their academic excellence, perseverance, and bright potential.
The ceremony also included the exciting announcement of this year’s Valedictorian, Camille Siguenza, and Salutatorian, Lila Cypers, honoring the two students who have achieved the highest academic distinction in their class. Their dedication, leadership, and commitment to excellence have set a shining example for their peers and the entire school community.
The Senior Awards Ceremony was not only a celebration of past achievements but also a send-off filled with pride and promise. As these students prepare to graduate, they carry with them the recognition of their peers, teachers, and mentors—and the confidence that they are ready to take on the world.
Congratulations to all our seniors—you’ve earned every accolade!
