Inspiring Visit from the Uniformed Services Medical School

On Thursday, five students from the Naval Hospital's Uniformed Services Medical School captivated members of our Health Care Career Club with an engaging TED talk and Q&A session. These remarkable students shared their unique journeys, leaving our audience fascinated by the diverse paths that brought them to where they are today.
Particularly inspiring was hearing how some of these students, who grew up as military BRATS, are now giving back to their communities by supporting and inspiring military families. Their stories of resilience and dedication resonated deeply with our students, sparking curiosity and admiration.
A special thanks to Dr. Strawn for organizing this surprise talk. They did wonderfully in presenting to our students, making it a memorable and enlightening experience for all.
Don’t miss next Thursday’s TED talk featuring U.S. Surgeon Dr. Strawn—it’s sure to be another empowering session!
