JLS Hosts Unforgettable Leadership Lock-In

Rota Middle High School's recent Leadership Lock-In brought students together for a night of fun, games, and personal growth, thanks to the efforts of the Junior Leadership Society and dedicated staff.

On the night of May 16th, Rota Middle High School transformed into a hub of excitement and camaraderie as students from 6th to 8th grade participated in the highly anticipated Leadership Lock-In. Organized by the Junior Leadership Society (JLS) students, the event was a resounding success, filled with engaging activities, games, and plenty of fun.

Principal Dr. Schonffeldt shared her enthusiasm, stating, "It was SO fun! I mean... I'm still completely exhausted, but it was fun!" Her sentiments echoed the general mood of the night, where students and staff alike enjoyed a memorable experience.

The lock-in kicked off at 20:00 in the Multi-Purpose Building (MPB) and continued until 08:00 the next morning. The JLS leaders did a fantastic job organizing ice breakers, leadership games, and various activities that kept everyone entertained throughout the night. The event also featured delicious food and movies, ensuring that there was something for everyone to enjoy.

A special thanks goes out to Mr. McFarland, whose dedication and hard work were instrumental in making the event a success. His efforts in coordinating the logistics and ensuring everything ran smoothly did not go unnoticed.

Throughout the night, students participated in leadership activities designed to inspire and empower them. These activities provided an excellent opportunity for students to develop their leadership skills, make new friends, and bond with their peers in a supportive environment.

The Leadership Lock-In was not just about fun and games; it was also about fostering a sense of community and encouraging students to step into leadership roles. The event was a testament to the school's commitment to nurturing future leaders and providing students with opportunities to grow and thrive.
