Purple Up Day Celebration at DGF Schools

Today, DGF Schools came together to celebrate Purple Up Day, honoring the Month of the Military Child. The entire campus, from preschoolers to seniors, participated in this special event dedicated to our military-connected students.
The day began with a grand kickoff at Rota Middle High School, where students were greeted with a red carpet walk and a stunning purple balloon arch. Staff and community members lined up to cheer the students on as they made their way to class, creating an atmosphere of excitement and pride.
Following this, the elementary school hosted a heartwarming event featuring a performance by our talented MHS choir students. The highlight of the event was hearing from students who shared their personal experiences of being children of military members, offering a glimpse into their unique lives and challenges.
The celebrations continued with a fun and memorable activity where select students had the opportunity to pie the assistant principal, Mr. Gostkowski, and paint the principal, Dr. Schonffeldt, purple! This playful moment brought smiles and laughter to everyone involved.
Overall, it was a fantastic day filled with joy and appreciation for our military-connected students. Purple Up Day at DGF Schools was a resounding success, showcasing the strength and resilience of our community.
