RMHS Celebrates Excellence at NJHS and NHS Induction Ceremony

On Wednesday, May 14, Rota Middle High School proudly hosted its annual National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) and National Honor Society (NHS) Induction Ceremony, honoring a new group of outstanding students for their academic excellence, leadership, service, and character.
The ceremony, held in the school's MPB, was a heartfelt and inspiring event attended by students, families, faculty, and community members. The stage was adorned with candles and banners representing the core values of both societies, setting a tone of dignity and pride.
The evening began with a welcome address from school administrators, followed by a keynote speech emphasizing the importance of integrity, perseverance, and community involvement. Current NJHS and NHS members led the traditional candle-lighting ceremony, each flame symbolizing one of the societies' pillars: Scholarship, Leadership, Service, Character, and Citizenship (for NJHS).
New inductees were called to the stage one by one to receive their certificates and pins, marking their official entry into these prestigious organizations. The ceremony concluded with a pledge recitation, where students committed to upholding the values of NJHS and NHS in their academic and personal lives.
The NJHS and NHS are more than just honors—they are commitments to lifelong learning and service. Membership in these societies is a recognition of students’ hard work and a challenge to continue striving for excellence in all areas of life.
Congratulations to all the new inductees! Your dedication and achievements are a source of pride for the entire Rota Middle High School community.
