Rota Admirals Rally into Spring
Spring Pep Rally 2025 Recap

The gym was alive with energy as the Rota Admirals packed the bleachers for our 2025 Spring Sports Pep Rally! With music blasting and school spirit in full swing, students cheered their way into an afternoon of celebration, recognition, and fun.
The event kicked off with a warm welcome from school administrators, who fired up the crowd with a call for ROTA PRIDE. Student Council President Olivia B. then took the stage to lead the presentation of colors by our Navy JROTC, followed by a jaw-dropping electric guitar performance of the National Anthem by Thomas B. and Joseph J. The crowd was blown away!
Emi C. kept the energy high, announcing the highlight of the rally: a celebration of our Spring sports teams. One by one, the teams stood proudly as the crowd roared:
- Boys Soccer – led by Coach McFarland
- Girls Soccer – led by Coach Anderson
- Softball – coached by Markowski & Zimmerman, currently 3rd seed heading into European Champs
- Baseball – led by Coach Dominguez
- Track & Field – coached by Coach Romero, with 19 qualifiers in 21 events heading to Kaiserslautern!
The gym erupted in cheers for each team, recognizing their hard work, dedication, and competitive spirit.
Next came a heartfelt moment as Emi gave a special shout-out to the Senior Class of 2025—celebrating their final pep rally before graduation on June 6th. The seniors stood tall as the crowd honored their journey and cheered them on toward their next adventure.
Then it was time for the grand finale: PIE IN THE FACE! 🥧
Student Body Treasurer and Spirit Coordinator Mia W. took the mic and drew names of lucky students who got to pie their favorite teachers and staff. Among the brave volunteers were Ms. White, Ms. Lockwood, Ms. Dannels, Dr. Bond, Ms. Chaves, Coach Romero, Coach Spencer, Chief James, and the principal, Dr. Schonffeldt —earning laughs and cheers from the entire gym.
We also said a fond farewell to our beloved Admiral mascot, Becca O., who gave a heartfelt goodbye as she prepares to graduate this year. Becca has brought energy, joy, and Admiral pride to every event, and she will be deeply missed. We’re already looking ahead to the fall, when tryouts will be held for the next student to carry on the Admiral mascot legacy!
From start to finish, the Spring Pep Rally was a celebration of Admiral pride, athletic excellence, and unforgettable memories. Thank you to everyone who made it a success—and as always, GO ADMIRALS!
