Rota Students Shine in Spanish Judo Competition
Rota Middle High School is proud to highlight the remarkable achievements of two of our outstanding students, Yeshua and Matthew, who have recently made headlines in the world of judo.
Matthew has demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication, earning the title of Andalucia Champion in the Infantile 13-14 years, -55KG category last Saturday. Matthew is currently ranked #1 in Spain and #1 in the Community of Andalucia, showcasing his dominance in the sport.
Yeshua has also shown incredible prowess, securing the title of Andalucia Champion in the Infantile 13-14 years, -46KG category. Yeshua is ranked #9 in Spain and #1 in the Community of Andalucia, proving his competitive edge and determination.
Both Matthew and Yeshua will proudly represent the Andalucia Autonomous Community in the Spain School Championship of Judo on April 27th, 2025, in Huesca, Spain. Their achievements not only bring honor to our school but also inspire their peers to strive for excellence.
The recent success at the Andalusia Junior and Cadet Championships held on March 22, 2025, at the Cadiz City Sports Complex, saw the JUDO CLUB TADEO shine brightly. Competing against over 40 clubs and more than 300 participants from across the region, the club emerged victorious in the Children's Category, securing the title of Club Champions.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Matthew and Yeshua for their outstanding accomplishments and wish them the best of luck in the upcoming Spain School Championship. Their dedication and hard work are truly commendable, and we are confident they will continue to make us proud.
