Rota students excelled at the state legislative session, showcasing their leadership, dedication, and legislative skills.

We are incredibly proud to announce the outstanding performance of our students at the recent state legislative session! Tommy P., Rachel O., Melissa D., Jenna M., Dyler M., Evan C., and Ronald R. represented Rota with exceptional dedication and skill. Tommy and Rachel saw their bills successfully pass through the Senate and were signed into "law," while all students, except Dyler, had their bills pass through committee. Jenna's bill sparked significant debate, and Melissa and Evan's bills were tabled due to time constraints.

Rota students held three of the seven committee chair positions, demonstrating their leadership capabilities. Ronald received the MUSS award for "Most Communicative," and Rachel won the award for "Most Likely to be Censured." First-time participants Dyler, Evan, Melissa, and Jenna showed remarkable leadership, with Melissa completing training for a leadership position next year. Tommy served as the Democratic Conference Chair, playing a vital role in the party's leadership team.

The dedication, intelligence, and leadership displayed by these students are truly inspiring. Their ability to navigate complex legislative processes and make impactful contributions is a testament to their hard work and the quality of education at our school. We are VERY, VERY proud of Tommy, Rachel, Melissa, Jenna, Dyler, Evan, and Ronald! They have represented Rota with distinction and have set a high standard for future student leaders.
