Happy Friday, Admirals!

We are already down to the final week and a half of Quarter 3. The last day of the quarter is March 26, and we want students to stay focused, turn in all assignments, and finish this quarter on a high note.

Yesterday, our teachers participated in a half-day of professional learning focused on strengthening instruction in two key areas: explicit writing instruction—helping students develop strong written communication skills for academic and real-world success—and modeling and reasoning in mathematics, ensuring students build deep understanding and problem-solving skills. These efforts align with our school goals and our commitment to providing the best education possible.

What’s Coming Up?

✨ Robotics Competitions at RMHS – We’re excited to host some Robotics action next week! Best of luck to all our participants.
🎟️ Middle School Spring Fling Dance – Friday, March 21 – Middle schoolers, get ready to dance the night away! Tickets are $20 and will be on sale during lunch next week.

Reinforcing Expectations

Starting today, we’re meeting with students to revisit some key expectations that help keep our school a positive place for everyone.

🔵 Words Matter – Words have the power to build someone up or tear them down. Here at RMHS, we use our words for good. We encourage kindness, honesty, and respect in all conversations—online and in person.

🧼 Hygiene Matters – Keeping it real here! Taking care of yourself is important—for your health, your confidence, and those around you. A little effort goes a long way.

📚 Do Your Best in Academics – We hold high expectations for student work ethic and success because we believe in you. Your hard work now sets you up for even greater success ahead!

🦙 No Drama Llama – Drama doesn’t belong here. If it’s not helpful, kind, or true, let’s not spread it. And remember…

✋ Hands to Yourself! – Simple rule. No exceptions.

We want our students to learn and grow in an environment where they feel safe, respected, and supported. Navigating social challenges is part of middle and high school, and we’re here to guide them along the way.

Let’s finish this quarter strong, Admirals! Wishing you all a fantastic weekend. See you Monday!

Kindly,

Dr. Schonffeldt
