Principal's Note

Rota Admirals Logo

Happy Friday, Admirals!

We’ve had a fantastic week at Rota MHS, and I want to start by thanking you for the kind words, notes, and support you’ve shared during Teacher Appreciation Week. It’s been a meaningful reminder of how much our community values the work our teachers do every day. A huge thank-you as well to our PSSA for leading so much of the celebration this week—your time, energy, and creativity made our staff feel truly appreciated and loved.

A special shoutout goes to our students in band, choir, and guitar—and to Ms. Cedeno—for an incredible Spring Concert: An Evening at the Theater. It was a beautiful night of music and celebration, and we’re so proud of the talent and heart our students shared on stage.

Next week brings Spirit Week, and our Student Council has come up with some fun and creative themes to help us have a fun week filled with energy and school pride:

  • Monday – Adam Sandler Day
  • Tuesday – Tropical Day
  • Wednesday – Dress as Your Type Day
  • Thursday – Emo vs. VSCO
  • Friday – Gamers vs. Athletes

Our testing continues with AP Testing, and we want to recognize our students for staying focused and giving their best during this important time.

We are thrilled to host our Middle School Leadership Lock-In next Friday night—an evening filled with team-building, leadership development, and plenty of fun. It will be a great opportunity for our students to grow together and create lasting memories.

You can check out more about the event here:

And don’t forget—we have home baseball and softball games this weekend! Come out and cheer on our Admirals. Our students love seeing their families and teachers in the stands.

Thank you for being such a vital part of our school community. We appreciate your continued support and partnership as we head into these final weeks of the school year.

Have a restful weekend!

Kindly,

Dr. Schonffeldt
